New Internet application to combat Asian hornets

Organising control from the moment a private individual reports a nest until it is eliminated

This application handles all the information exchanges and actions required to eliminate identified nests, while complying with regulations and implementing best practice. It can be installed on the site of the local authority (community of communes, metropolis, Groupement de Défense Sanitaire, beekeeping association, etc.) ...., allowing information flows with notifiers to be handled locally by each local authority.

How does it work?

  • The private individual photographs the suspect nest
  • They report it by simply locating it on the map using the dedicated form (available on their local authority's website if it offers it or online on the Bees for Life website)
  • A message is sent to the local authority/town hall referent, who uses his or her experience to decide whether the nest in the photo should be treated or whether he or she should visit the nest to confirm that it is in fact an Asian hornet nest.

Report your Asian hornet nest and receive quotes from professionals who work according to best practice.
NEW: RECEIVE TRANSPARENT, SPECIFIC QUOTES FOR YOUR NEST IN LESS THAN 24/36 HOURS AND SELECT YOUR OPERATOR

Each insect control company listed on the BeesForLife website can make an offer by means of a quote that is comparable for the person selecting the company.
In this way, the private individual can select from the quotes received the aspects that are most important to him or her, such as speed of intervention, treatment method, price....
The professionals registered on the platform have agreed to comply with the best practices recommended by BeesForLife:
>> see the best practices charter.

The local authority will have programmed into the application the management choices of the service providers who may be involved in the nest elimination chain. Different protocols can be configured in the application to match the services that the local authority wishes to provide to private individuals.

BeesForLife certification

The application also has a "Bees For Life labelling" reference system for nest insect controllers, with two levels of reference: "BeesForLife Classic" and "BeesForLife BIO".

This management method is equipped with a series of tools that can be used to enhance the value of the information processed for users. A range of information of interest to the scientific community can also be extracted from the databases to meet their needs and enable the community to contribute to this research.

Local authorities in the New Aquitaine, Loire Valley and Paris regions are already taking part in this type of management system for reporting and destroying hornet nests.
